CreatingContent.ca is a product operated by BeFoodie Inc.. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Service at https://creatingcontent.ca.

#1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and profile information — name, email, authentication credentials, and preferences you provide when creating or updating your account.
  • Content and workflow data — topics, drafts, generated posts, images, scheduling preferences, feedback, and other inputs you submit to use the Service.
  • LinkedIn authorization data— only after you explicitly authorize access through LinkedIn's OAuth flow. This may include basic profile information, account identifiers, and permissions you grant for posting, workflow automation, or Lead Sync-related functionality.
  • Lead Sync data — if you enable Lead Sync, lead records and metadata LinkedIn makes available to your authorized application, solely to provide features you request.
  • Technical and usage information — IP address, browser type, device information, logs, and basic analytics about how you interact with the Service.
  • Communications — support messages sent to support@creatingcontent.ca.

We do not scrape LinkedIn. We access LinkedIn-related data only through official APIs and only after you authorize access.

#2. How We Use Information

We use information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • Generate, refine, schedule, and publish content at your direction;
  • Authenticate your account and manage LinkedIn connections you authorize;
  • Process lead and workflow data for features you enable;
  • Respond to support requests and communicate about the Service;
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and protect against abuse or fraud;
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We use data only to provide authorized product functionality. We do not sell your personal information or LinkedIn data.

#3. LinkedIn API and OAuth Data Usage

CreatingContent.ca may integrate with LinkedIn APIs, including OAuth authorization and, where enabled, Lead Sync API access. When you connect LinkedIn:

  • You review and approve permissions on LinkedIn's authorization screen;
  • We receive and store only data and tokens for scopes you approve;
  • We use that data solely for actions you request (publishing, lead sync, workflow automation);
  • We do not use LinkedIn branding to imply endorsement or official partnership.

LinkedIn is a separate company. BeFoodie Inc. is not officially partnered with, sponsored by, or endorsed by LinkedIn. Your use of LinkedIn is also subject to LinkedIn's Privacy Policy and applicable LinkedIn API terms.

#4. Lead Sync Data Usage

If you enable Lead Sync, we may process lead records (form submissions, campaign leads, or associated metadata) that LinkedIn transmits under your authorized permissions.

We use Lead Sync data only to:

  • Display and organize leads in your workspace;
  • Support workflow automation you configure;
  • Maintain operational records necessary to provide the Service.

We do not sell Lead Sync data, use it for unrelated advertising, or transfer it except as described in Data Sharing below.

#5. Data Storage and Security

We store data using industry-standard infrastructure and service providers. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

#6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or LinkedIn data. We may share information:

  • With service providers (hosting, authentication, analytics, AI processing) under contractual obligations to protect data and use it only for our instructions;
  • With LinkedIn when you authorize actions through LinkedIn APIs (posting, retrieving lead data);
  • When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security;
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to confidentiality protections.

#7. User Control and Data Deletion

You may:

  • Update account information through profile settings where available;
  • Disconnect LinkedIn through LinkedIn account settings or within the Service where available;
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing support@creatingcontent.ca.

When you revoke LinkedIn access, we cannot perform actions requiring that authorization. Revoke access in LinkedIn under Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Other applications (wording may vary).

We respond to verified deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal retention requirements and backup cycles.

#8. Cookies and Basic Analytics

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand basic usage patterns.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit some functionality.

#9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

#10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date when changes are posted. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
